Some people commit their lives to their careers, others perhaps to a passion that brings endless joy. Linda Herring, chose to commit her life to more than 600 foster children. 

After fostering children for almost five decades, Herring was honored for her time as a foster parent by the Johnson County Board. She devoted her time to loving every child who walked through her door as if they were her own. Now 75, Herring and her family reflect on her time caring for over 600 children and the new chapter in her life where diaper changing is now a thing of the past.
